KHC invested SR262 million ($70 million) in NAS in February 2007, through Abraaj NAS Commercial Investment Company. Later on, KHC reinvested SR1.17billion ($313 million) increasing its stake in NAS to 37% for a total investment of SR2.23 billion ($594 million). NAS Saudi Arabia holds a license to operate domestic and international airline. NAS Saudi Arabia started its operations in 2007 with five aircraft as its initial fleet. The fleet size is expected to increase to 18 aircraft by 2010.
