Kingdom Holding Company has a substantial shareholding in NAS, National Private Air Transport Services Company LLC, a private global air charter company providing domestic and international flight services, private jet sales and fleet management.
Uniquely, the company’s management team consists entirely of certified pilots, and the owner is also a certified pilot and flight instructor. As such, NAS are considered experts in the field.
As a private airline, NAS Air holds a license to operate domestic and international flights. Operations are backed by a state-of-the-art dispatch centre to ensure the comfort and safety of the airline’s passengers and also to notify car rental companies and hotels in advance of their clients’ travel plans.
National Air Services operates through three subsidiaries: NAS Air, Saudi Arabia's first low-cost carrier, which commenced scheduled service in 2007 from its base in Riyadh and operates to destinations across the Middle East, Asia and Europe; NAS JET, NAS' first subsidiary, which specializes in the management and lease of corporate jet aircraft including Hawker, Falcon and Gulfstream types; and NAS Tech, an MRO provider catering to the single-aisle aircraft and business jet sectors.
NAS Air operates a fleet of Airbus A320-200, Boeing 737-800, and Embraer 190/195 aircraft. The airline was awarded 2012 "Best Saudi Arabian Aviation Company" by Middle East Arabian Business magazine for overall industry contributions and improvement of services such as web check-in and mobile boarding passes.
