President of Senegal Awards Prince Alwaleed Highest Medal, HRH’s 68th Medal President of Senegal Invites Prince Alwaleed to Invest in Senegal

HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), visited the Republic of Senegal on Monday June 10th 2013.

Prince Alwaleed was accompanied by a delegation that included Dr. Khalid Almansour, Advisor-Africa to HRH the Chairman, Dr. Nahla Nasser Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman, Ms. Hassna Alturki, Department Head, Travel and External Affairs, Mr. Hani Agha, Senior Manager for Travel and External Affairs, Mr. Naief Alzuhair, Manager Website & Social Media, Corporate Communications Department, Mr. Mohammed Alfaraj, Assistant Manager, for Travel and External Affairs and Mr. Fahad Bin Saad Bin Nafel, Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman and Mr. Hassan Mukhtar, Advisor to HRH the Chairman. 

During the trip, Prince Alwaleed met with HE Mr. Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal at the presidential palace. The two discussed investment, economic and general issues related to their respective countries, the meeting was also attended by Senegalese Ministers, KHC and Prince Alwaleed’s private office delegation. In addition Prince Alwaleed spoke about His Highness’s meeting with the President during a press conference. Moreover the President honored Prince Alwaleed the presidential medal “Grand Officer Del’ordre National Du Lion”, this medal is considered Prince Alwaleed’s 68th Honorary Medal.

Prince Alwaleed had visited Senegal in 2003, and met with Former President Wade. During the visit, Prince Alwaleed was awarded the highest national award, the rank of “Grand Officer of The National Order of The Lion”, in recognition of his highness’ visit to Senegal. His Highness had donated a total of $1,300,000 to Senegal for the development of health and education projects there.
