Prince Alwaleed Receives Egyptian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia

HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received in his office in Riyadh HE Mr. Afif Abdulwahab, Egyptian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia who was accompanied by Mr. Waleed Alfiqhi, First Secretary at the Embassy. The meeting was also attended by Eng. Ahmed Halawani, Executive Director, Private Equity and International Investments, Mr. Mohammed Almujadidi, Senior Executive Manager, Office of HRH the Chairman and Dr. Nahla Nasser Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman.


The meeting began as Ambassador thanked Prince Alwaleed for giving him the opportunity to meet with him. During the meeting, the two discussed the warm friendship between their two countries and referred to a number of social and economic issues. The meeting touched upon the latest developments in the region.


In June 2011, Prince Alwaleed signed the contract for “Toshka” land with the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation at the Prime Minister’s head office in Cairo in the presence of the Egyptian Prime Minister.


Moreover, Prince Alwaleed and the PM held a press conference where His Royal Highness reaffirmed his continuous support to the people and government of Egypt. After completion of the signing ceremony, Prince Alwaleed proceeded to the headquarters of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces where he was received by Head of the Council of the Armed Forces Field Marshal, Mohamed Hussein Tantawi. Moreover, Prince Alwaleed had met with the Egyptian PM HE at the Conference Palace in Riyadh in April 2011.

Furthermore, Rotana has radio stations, a chain of cafes and its own magazine. It also operates a leading regional advertising sales arm (Rotana Media Services), responsible for advertising sales on its TV channels as well other media businesses in the region. Rotana’s content is also digitally distributed globally. The Rotana Group employs over 1,100 employees located across the Middle East. In addition to the Rotana channels, there is Al Resalah Channel which is also broadcasted from Egypt and through Nile Sat.
