Prince Alwaleed Receives Japanese Special Representative for ME & European Affairs

HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) received at his office in Riyadh HE Ambassador Yutaka Limura Special Representative of Japanese Government for the Middle East and European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and an accompanying delegation.

The delegation included Mr. Takahiro Shiota, First Middle East Division, Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, HE Mr. Shigeru Endo, Japanese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Yoji Hattori, First Secretary at the Japanese Embassy and Mr. Mitsuru Murase, Consultant at the Japanese Embassy. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Samir Anbtawi, Academic Advisor to HRH the Chairman and Dr. Nahlah Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman.

The meeting began as Ambassador Yutaka thanked the Prince for giving the opportunity to meet with him. The discussions during the meeting touched upon the long- standing friendship between Saudi Arabia and Japan. Ambassador Yutaka said that his visit was to discover ways to further develop economic relations between their respective countries. Furthermore, during the meeting, the delegation presented HRH with investment projects in their country.

Prince Alwaleed’s investment in Japan through KHC include the Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Chinzan-so, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi, Swissotel Nankai Osaka, Citigroup (31 offices), Tokyo Disneyland, and News Corporation. The Prince’s last visit to Japan was in 2007.
